About the Event
Basic course in dramatic combat introduces you to the safe magic tricks and principles to portray violence on stage or screen. Our intention is to always tell a story of violence in a manner that would be safe for the performers.
During the course, we will concentrate the principles behind choreographing simple stage combat illusions and work specifically with unarmed techniques and with the techniques for found weapons, the everyday objects that characters find in their vicinity to defend themselves.
Teacher of the course will be one of the student-teachers of Dramatic Combat Finland, Juuso-Matias Maijanen, studying under Iiro Heikkilä.
What to have with you:
- comfortable clothes
- shoes that don't leave any marks on the floor
- gloves in case we work with weapons
- water bottle!
