About the Event

Whether you’re interested in the flamboyance of pirate battles or the comedic timing of slapstick chaos, this workshop will help you develop your stage combat skills with a focus on timing, precision, and expressive movement.

Fight Sundays are open level workshops dedicated to various themes related to the art of stage and screen fight. Every Fight Sunday offers a great opportunity to introduce yourself to the field, learn new skills, or practice the techniques you are already familiar with.

What to Expect:

  • Swashbuckling Techniques: Learn the fundamentals of swordplay, including footwork, parries, and choreographed duels inspired by pirate and adventure films.

  • Slapstick Comedy: Explore physical comedy, timing, and exaggerated movements that bring humor and character to fight scenes.

  • Creative Play: Practice combining high-energy fight sequences with comedic beats, fostering a sense of fun and spontaneity.

  • Safety and Collaboration: Emphasis on safe practices while encouraging collaborative storytelling and performance.

Join us for a lively, energetic session full of fun, movement, and theatrical flair!

Teacher: Bo Thomas (DK) Bo Thomas began his stunt journey in 1985. He is also a leading actor in The Last Padawan and Nothing Ventured, with more films in the works. Bo has been in hundreds of films, fought on hundreds of stages, fight directed dozens of plays, and has fallen down most staircases in København. He is one of the go-to Fight Directors for The National Theatre, Fredericia Musical Theatre, The National Opera, The Royal Theatre, Malmö Opera and many others. He was one of the first teachers of our local heroes Oula Kitti and Iiro Heikkilä. Bo has more knowledge in this field than he can remember and is happy to continue to share and play with new and old friends.
