About the Event
For the second Fight Sunday of the spring 2020 Dramatic Combat Finland offers a course in theatrical knife.
This time we concentrate on knife fighting skills for screen and stage with this very common household object. How does one show proficiency with a knife, and how could any pedestrian use? Any modern character could end up using or fighting against to save their life so it is an important skill for any actor to know.
The teacher this time will be our one and only Oula Kitti. Oula is the main teacher of Dramatic Combat Finland, a certified Nordic Stage Fight Society Teacher and Honorary Fight Director at Fight Directors Canada. He has experience from helping to create dramatic violence for over 50 plays in Finland, and many world-wide teaching credits especially in Nordic Countries. He is even the fresh resident stage combat instructor at University of Arts Helsinki.
