Basics of Theatrical Fencing: Knights, Samurai and Jedi introduces the basics of theatrical fencing with the classical two-handed sword. We study how we move in a safe and cool way when using the weapon. We then apply the basics to the styles of medieval and space warriors.

Tampere Basic Course - Basics of Theatrical Fencing: Knights, Samurai and Jedi
The Tampere basic course in Theatrical fencing focuses on two-handed swords. These are the chosen weapons of historical knights, noble samurai and the jedi from the galaxy far far away.
During the course we will start with basics: safety, footwork, sword-mechanics and illusions of violence. We will then use different stances, dynamics and moves to change the time periods and continents between West and East and Earth and Space.

Basic course in theatrical fencing in Tampereen seudun työväenopisto from January 30th to February 1st.
