About the Event
This workshop is open to any NSFS member willing to prep or test for NSFS certifications in unarmed, rapier & dagger, smallsword or DCF Special sword & buckler.
If you have been to our Fight Sundays, Weekly Training or other similar event you are welcome to join!
During this course participants will also deepen their understanding of the disciplines they are training and the techniques required for their successful performance on theatre stage. Students will learn about accuracy, safety, and other fundamental skills needed when engaged in dramatic physical encounters.
At the end of the workshop participants with minimum of 30 hours of experience in the discipline will have an opportunity to take the official NSFS certification test in one of the following: unarmed, rapier & dagger, smallsword or DCF Special sword & buckler.
For them the main focus of the classes will be learning the choreography and creating a scene. The test is assessed by NSFS certified teachers Oula Kitti, Anastasia Trizna and Arvo Ärlig, who will grade the understanding, application and techniques demonstrated. Video recording of the test will be later reviewed by an independent adjudicator appointed by NSFS board.

In order to attend the test workshop you need at least 10 hours of previous stage combat training. Please note, that to take the test you need a minimum of 30 hours of training in each weapon. This amount includes the hours of preparatory classes, which will be scheduled with the teacher responsible for the test weapon.
The preparatory classes for the test will be scheduled with the teacher responsible for the weapon in April-May.
If you are interested in testing, you have to enroll latest on 31.03.2026. If you wish to just prep, you may enroll later as well.

Friday: 16-21:00
Saturday: 10-15, lunch, 16-19
Sunday: 11 - 15 practice, 16:30 tests
COST
150€ for DCF / NSFS members. Fee covers preparatory classes, three days of training, and certification test and a certificate for testers. You will also get a personal feedback from both teachers about your fight scene.
