Single Rapier Certification Course, Helsinki

Singel Rapier certification course. 

During this course participants will deepen their understanding of the art of single rapier techniques for theatre stage. Students will learn about accuracy, safety, and the fundamental techniques needed when engaged in dramatic physical encounters. Main focus of the classes is learning the choreography and creating a scene. 

At the end of the workshop participants with minimum of 40 hours of previous experience will have an opportunity to take the official NSFS certification test in single rapier. The test is assessed by NSFS certified teachers, who will grade the understanding, application and techniques demonstrated. In order to attend the workshop you need at least 10 hours of previous stage combat training. Please note, that to take the test you need a minimum of 40 hours of training in each weapon.

Teacher: Iiro Heikkilä

Adjudicators: two NSFS certified teachers Iiro Heikkilä and Kaire Russ, plus a video adjudicator from one of the other NSFS national organisation.

Cost and payment: 120€ for non-members and 90€ for DCF / NSFS members. Fee covers three days of training, certification test and a certificate. You will also get a personal feedback from both teachers about your fight scene after the test.
